Field Meeting : Wasp Head

Wasp Island

Walking Difficulty Grade 2 (Moderate)

Approx. 3-4 km.

Formed bush track, uneven in places. Steep track down to the beach and rocks platform.

What we might see

Wasp Head provides a great vantage point for a number of sea bird species, including albatross, Australasian Gannet, White-fronted Tern, Southern Giant-Petrel. In the forest, Varied Sittella, Eastern Spinebill and other honeyeaters.

Where we meet

Meet at the carpark near the entrance to Murramarang Resort, Banyandah St, South Durras.
