Field Meeting : Waders

Waders

Walking Difficulty Grade 2 (Moderate)

Approximately 2-4 km walk along beach and/or lakeshore on sand, soft in places.

What we might see

The venue for this walk depends on wader activity, weather and water levels in the estuaries. Depending on coastal conditions, this walk may be cancelled, and an alternative walk will be proposed.

Where we meet

An email will be sent out after November 16, or you can email Julie or Annie for the venue.

UPDATE: Sunday November 23 2025 at 9am

We will meet at the Bodalla Forest Park rest area which is just south of the Brou Tip turnoff.  We will gather near the amenities. From there we will drive to Brou Lake along Brou Lake Road which is mainly a dirt road.  This is a grade 2 to 3 walk as we will be walking on the soft sands of the beach and along the lake edge on sand which is wet in places.  We will also be out in the full sun so please come prepared.
