Field Meeting : Grandfathers Gully, Lilli Pilli

Grandfathers Gully

Walking Difficulty Grade 2-3 (Moderate with some steep sections)

A series of undulating tracks down to the beach and through the gully with short steep sections. After we cross the gully, there is a series of steep stairs (grade 3) that people can choose not to climb.

What we might see

A walk through coastal Spotted Gum/cycad forest to the black sand/rock beaches of Grandfather’s Gully. A combination of dry forest, wet gully and beach/coastal vegetation and birdlife. Great Cormorant, White-bellied Sea-Eagle, Pied and Sooty Oystercatcher, Common Bronzewing, Golden Whistler, Brown Gerygone.

Where we meet

Meet at the corner of George Bass Drive and Denise Drive, Lilli Pilli.
