About ENHS

Welcome to the website of the Eurobodalla Natural History Society Inc (ENHS).

The ENHS was established in 1986 by a group of people with an interest in nature and is based in the Eurobodalla Shire on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia.

The aims of ENHS are to:

  • Foster and encourage the study, enjoyment and conservation of the natural environment of the area;
  • Arrange meetings and field excursions for these ends;
  • Encourage and train members in the keeping of records of the wildlife of the area;
  • Prepare reports of these records on a regular basis;
  • Liaise with other societies, organizations and individuals with similar interests.

A copy of the Constitution of the ENHS can be found here. View ENHS Constitution

The Society holds Field Meetings twice monthly from February to November, usually on the second Saturday and fourth Sunday of the month. These meetings are essentially bird watching walks, although all aspects of nature are explored. The walks cover a range of environments including forest, rainforest, beach and coastline habitats. Visitors are welcome to attend field meetings. Further information about our Field Meetings

The Society encourages the collection of information on local wildlife. Many of its members keep records which are collated into a database, and every three months, highlights are published in a newsletter. View or download past newsletters

All records are summarised into the annual publication Nature in Eurobodalla. Obtain a copy of Nature in Eurobodalla

New members are welcome, further details can be found on the ENHS membership page.
